Exclusive discount for Barmouth Bay Holiday Park

As a thank you for reading our family travel blog, I have a lovely treat to share with you… An exclusive 35% discount for a stay at Barmouth Bay Holiday Park in Wales.  I know, pretty fab eh!

We are due to visit the holiday park and review a superior 8 berth caravan in a few weeks so I cannot personally recommend Barmouth Bay yet.  I can however thoroughly recommend the wide beautiful sandy beach which guests of the holiday park have direct access to from a camping holiday we enjoyed in the Barmouth area a few years ago (the rock pools are great for crabbing too!)  Also having just checked out the Trip Advisor reviews I think the holiday park sounds like the perfect base to unwind and enjoy some family beach fun!

Have a look for yourself at the excellent feedback on Trip Advisor, a few of my favourite comments are –

“Barmouth Bay grounds are stunning, staff are very polite & every caravan we have stayed in has been spectacular – old to new”.

“Brilliant break – Everything about this break was good from the caravan to the clean, well kept site with every amenity you could wish for for a relaxing weekend away. Proximity to the wide , sandy beach ……2 minutes from our van and with Barmouth 5 miles away with its bustling little town and excellent eateries…what more could you ask for. Well done Barmouth Bay and your friendly staff”.

During our stay at Barmouth Bay we plan on making the most of the on site facilities particularly the large, heated indoor swimming pool and children’s play pool.  We also intend to explore Snowdonia (it would be rude not to!)

Barmouth Bay

I have been checking out this useful guide to family breaks in Snowdonia by Visit Wales.  Having climbed Snowdon with my husband before we had kids we are keen to experience the thrill of standing on the highest point in Wales again.  A 1085 meter walk is out of the question with our 5 and 2 year olds so we plan on taking the Snowdon Mountain Railway (any excuse!)  The journey by rack rail upwards to the clouds and summit of Snowdon has been experienced by over 12 million travellers since 1896 and from the website description sounds absolutely magical.  Our train mad boys are going to love it.  We hope to be onboard the “Snowdon Lily”, or “The Snowdon Mountain Goat” to experience being pushed by one of the original 1896 steam locomotives.
