Happy New Year and thanks for joining us for the first Monday Escapes of 2018. I hope you’ve all had a lovely festive break and are raring to go for more adventures this year.
My boys and I have just returned from a fun five days in Darwin Forest Country Park in the Peak District. We invited my sister and her three kids to join us on the press trip, it’s fair to say all five kids took their roles as reviewers VERY seriously. They checked out every inch of the forest, playgrounds, soft play areas and pool! They were so excited on the first night that my niece and nephews were up from 4am on the first morning, which you may have spotted over on my instagram stories.
Just before Christmas (and for a short while this weekend) we had some snow, which made our Christmas school holidays even more memorable. I hope you got some snow too?

I loved this rather humorous, and very honest, article by Smudged Postcard featuring visiting Rome in the summer with kids. It sure does look and sound very hot!
I also absolutely adored the photos in Nano’s article featuring a day at a wine estate in New Zealand. The photos of the delicacies she captured by camera before delving into will have your mouth watering! Take a look for yourself…..
And lastly Claire wishes she had the stomach she used to for rollercoasters. Ava from My Meena Life has done a great review of the coasters at Bush Gardens Williamsburg. Check out her scoring system – we love it!
