Good morning and welcome Monday Escapers. I’m in total holiday planning mode at the moment with three blog review trips coming up soon… a cottage break in Cornwall with friends, a family holiday in Lincolnshire, a week at Bluestone in Wales and I’m trying to arrange our European summer road trip too. I’m exhausted just thinking about all the packing, unpacking and laundry I will be doing!
Last week I had the pleasure of taking part in an Italian cookery workshop by Bookings For You, a villa rental company who offer 350+ hand-picked villas in 8 regions of Italy and (new for this year), France and Croatia. I will be publishing an article featuring their fabulous residential cookery courses at the Palazzo Tronconi, in Lazio near Rome, very soon. For now here is a photo of their lovely chef, the renowned Leonardo Grimaldi, who prepared the most incredible carbonara and black pig stew served with wine produced in the palazzo vineyard…
They say that things always come in three’s and it certainly seems to be the case for me and giveaways. I have three fabulous giveaways running on my blog at the moment, the details are below if you feel like trying your luck!
WIN a luxury family break at the Ardencote hotel, Warwick. Worth £440
WIN motorhome hire for four days, worth £350
WIN family passes to attractions in Stratford-upon-Avon, worth over £100
Monday Escapes #55
Without further ado, it’s my turn to host this week so you will find the linky below. Karen and Sarah were your hosts for Monday Escapes #54. Their four favourite posts were…
Karen loved Love from Scotland’s post and photos featuring a road trip to Scotland and feels inspired to jump in her car and follow the exact route this summer!
Karen also enjoyed reading about Four Acorns day out walking in the wooded hills and rolling pastures near Rosières, Haute-Loire, France. She couldn’t believe that the photos in the post were taken on an iPhone as they spectacular!
Sarah felt that Backpack Full of Adventures post highlighting the best views of London is a must read for every visitor to the capital. The Sky Garden is now firmly at the top of her wish list after making it up to the Shard last week.
Sarah also loved Wander Mum’s tour of Epernay which made her want to book a trip across to France. After all who doesn’t love a holiday which involves drinking Champagne?
The winner of the Lonely Planet book is Kate at Love from Scotland! Please do get in touch Kate and let us know what guide-book you would like to inspire your next adventures.
What is Monday Escapes?
Monday Escapes is a place for bloggers to link up their travel memories. The linky is all about looking back at wonderful, happy travel memories and sharing them with others.
So how do you join in?
• Link up to one post/photo – old or new. ** I am your host this week, the linky is below!** This week I am linking up my packing tips for life on the go with kids.
What’s in it for you?
The number one thing is you’ll be sharing your fantastic posts with a like-minded community and grabbing some travel inspiration for yourself! As a bonus you have a chance to have your blog post featured (with follow links) on all four of the hosts’ blogs each fortnight, introducing your blog to even more people.
Our number one favourite post of the fortnight will also win a Lonely Planet destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range. How great is that?! (*T&C’s – The chosen Lonely Planet book must be in English and can only be sent to bloggers living within Europe).
Monday Escapes will go live every two weeks, alternating between your four hosts – Sarah at Extraordinary Chaos, Claire at Tin Box Traveller, Karen at Mini Travellers and I. The linky opens Monday at 7am to Wednesday midnight. There is also a Monday Escapes Pinterest Board – so if you’d like to start pinning some of your favourite photos, do get in touch.
