Good morning and welcome once again to Monday Escapes. I cannot believe that we are approaching May, this year is absolutely flying by!
We’ve enjoyed a rather relaxed weekend which was definitely needed after a busy Easter bank holiday weekend at Tattershall Lakes, in Lincolnshire. We stayed in a brand new caravan called a TriBeCa which was like no other caravan I have ever seen before… a master bedroom with king size bed, a kids bunk bed room with den and FIVE plasma screen TV’s, including one over the bath tub! (Yes you read that correctly, our caravan had a bath AND a hot tub!) If this sounds like your idea of glamping check out our short video on Facebook.
I’ll be publishing our full review soon, (much as I love spending time with my boys I’m glad it’s the end of the Easter school holidays so that I can tackle my huge to do list!) In the meantime, here are a few photos of the activities we enjoyed whist staying at Tattershall Lakes…
The water walkers are a lot more difficult than they look! I gave up after a few attempts and just crawled, I can definitely recommend though, they are really good fun.

I loved this Amsterdam travel diary by Call Me Liz, featuring her useful recommendations on places to visit and best places to eat in the canal side city.
I also really enjoyed the vivid photos in this post – Exploring Cascais, Portugal, by Kit at The Kittchen. I have visited Cascais many times and yet my photos do not capture the beauty of the place like Kit’s do!
Claire selected Esther’s recommendations from Mooistesteden Trips on places to eat and things to do in Porto as one of her favourite posts. She has added the tour of Taylor’s Port to the top of her travel wishlist!
And our winning post is Adelina, from Pack Me To, with her Reflections on a month in Asia. Claire found herself nodding along to the lessons learned during Adelina’s month in Asia. Her ups and downs share the true nature of what it’s like to travel for longer and give great insight for anyone planning their own long-term trip.
