If you are looking for a friendly and experienced helping hand with your social media and digital marketing you have come to the right person! With 20 years experience in the travel industry I specialise, and take great pleasure, in supporting small to medium sized travel and hospitality businesses connect and engage with their customers to increase bookings.
I guarantee a hands-on, cost effective and jargon free approach which begins with a free and no obligation consultation so that we can get to know one another and I can start to understand your unique business.

All of my services are tailored to your company. You may be completely baffled by the overwhelming world of social media and not know your Facebook from Twitter. You may have all of your social media accounts set up but the lack of time needed to manage them effectively. Or maybe you just need someone to take on the more complex digital marketing jobs such as creating promotional videos, events guides, giveaways, social media adverts and email newsletters. In all of these situations I can help you.
Social analysis
During your free consultation, I will get to know you and your company. What makes your business unique? What do your existing customers love about you and how can we spread the word about how amazing your business is to potential new customers?
I will deliver a ‘health check’ report on your current social media activity with lots of tips and ideas for engaging with your customers in an interesting and memorable way.
Competitor analysis
Who are your competitors and what are they doing on social media that is being particularly effective? We certainly don’t want to copy ideas, as we will have plenty of our own, but it’s always good to be in the know, which takes time and you have your business to run! I’ll research what is working elsewhere and also come up with new ideas unique to your business.
Strategy
With all of this knowledge I will put together a strategy that will achieve results on the social media channels we have decided to focus on. This may be Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and/or YouTube and may involve working with other local companies in partnership i.e. running a joint giveaway or hosting a joint event.
Delivery
This is the exciting part! Time to hit the publish button and get engaging with your customers with shareable, relevant content. Ideas include **blogs, event guides for your website encouraging existing customers to return, inspirational newsletters to your email subscribers with giveaways or discounts, engaging videos sharing new features/a tour of your property/an insight into daily life at your attraction/guest house, etc. (More of my promotional video examples can be found here).
**Blogs are informal / conversational style articles. As a blogger myself I know the importance of blogs in the website strategy for businesses. They help with the all important search engine rankings, provide fresh content to encourage people back to your website, give a personal insight into your business AND will help you attract new customers through the power of social media. (Hopefully I have convinced you that blogs are the bees knees?)
Advertising
Social media is a noisy place. There are apparently 40 million active small business pages on Facebook. Social media channels are a brilliant free promotional tool, IF DONE RIGHT. Just popping a few posts here and there when you feel like it won’t make you stand out and be recognised. To get your business noticed smart digital marketing and social media advertising is needed. I am an expert in delivering effective advertisement campaigns to achieve real results.
This is an example of a promotional campaign I ran for a local Gloucestershire festival, The Big Feastival. The value of the giveaway prize was just over £400 and it attracted a social reach of 11,340 people. Giveaways such as this are a great way of raising awareness of your company in a very cost effective way.
Training
Now that you are up and running you may prefer to run your own social media channels or keep me on a retainer for a few hours per month to continue to write blog posts, newsletters, come up with new promotions, etc. I offer both options.
My inclusive 1:1 social media training will be completely tailored to you. Whether you need help editing images, creating, editing and uploading videos, researching the right hashtags or setting up social media adverts, as a fully qualified tourism lecturer and social media expert I can assist.
Blogger outreach
Working with social influencers can be a fantastic way to raise awareness of your travel or hospitality business. Reviews written by established influencers with a genuine following offer more of a personal insight than a standard press release and will benefit you in the long term too via links to your website.
I have four years experience as a travel blogger. In this time I have developed a great network of contacts. I can put you in touch with bloggers, vloggers (video experts) and social influencers who will produce great content and share with their followers relevant to your business. (Because let’s be honest, thousands of fake Chinese followers are not going to be interested in visiting your guest house in the Cotswolds!)

Coordination of blogger events
I can take the stress out of organising blogger press trips to your business. I will personally recommend influencers for you to approve and then coordinate all logistics for the event. Including getting the maximum use out of their online content, (i.e. engaging and sharing on all of your social channels).
Co-ordination of other promotional events
Interested in hosting events to raise awareness of your business? I can help. With past experience of managing all types of events from huge charity fundraisers and weddings to more exclusive cheese and wine evenings I can take the stress off you so you can relax and make the most of networking with your customers.
Reports
The benefits of my social media management and digital marketing content will hopefully be apparent from the posts and engagements on your social accounts. I will also send monthly, easy to read, reports so you can measure your social media spend in relation to the increase in your followers, engagements and post reach.
Fees
I pride myself on offering a cost effective service which provides a good return on your investment. My business, like yours, relies on word of mouth publicity and I want you to be truly delighted with our partnership and my results. (Please note I am not VAT registered).
I offer an hourly rate for my services and a discounted hourly rate if you take me on a retainer basis where I work with you for a set amount of hours per month.
For more complex jobs, (i.e. promotional videos such as these examples – Darwin Forest, Hotel Indigo and Siblu) I charge a fixed project rate so that you know up front what the cost is going to be. The cost of editing a short promotional video with music is £200 plus travel costs and my hourly rate for shooting the video and uploading to all of your social media channels.
I also offer bespoke packages. For example you may require – 2 x blog posts per month, posts on your social channels several times a week and a monthly email newsletter.
